Introduction

By commissioning me, you, the client, are automatically agreeing to the following terms and conditions, regardless of whether or not you've read or understood them.

General

  1. I reserve the right to refuse any commission for whatever reason.
  2. I reserve the right to post my work for advertising/casual posting unless asked otherwise.
  3. Turn around time varies a lot depending on the commission type and how I'm feeling. It can vary from just a few hours or a few months. Please keep in mind that I am also a university student.
  4. If you have been waiting for more than 3 weeks without updates, please come check in on me. Chances are I might've forgotten.
  5. I can usually do deadlines if I am told upon ordering or at least 1 week prior to the deadline.
  6. All commissions are digital works and you will not be receiving a physical product.
  7. I encourage you to be as specific as possible when commissioning me. I work better when I know what you want, the more detail the better! Please don't be afraid to give me a mock up or paragraphs of detail on what you want, it helps me a lot.
  8. My primary & preferred method of communication is through Discord DMs.
  9. You must provide me a clear reference(s) of your character where I can easily pick colors from and understand their design. Do not give me references with chromatic aberration, heavy/soft/painted shading, heavily compressed colors, etc. I may refuse your commission if you cannot provide me a clear reference.
  10. My style changes frequently, especially my linework. If you have a specific style you want me to use, please tell me and provide me examples! I will try my best to replicate it.
  11. Depending on what you're looking for, I can give you a quote for items not explicitly listed in my prices.

Usage

  1. Any art by me, under NO circumstances, may be used/resold for any Non-Fungible Token, block-chain or AI related purposes. You will be reported and publicly blacklisted.
  2. You may only use my work for personal, non-commercial/non-profit usage (Icons, page deco, personal keychains/physical items, etc) but you MUST visibly credit me somewhere, please (when applicable).
  3. Do not remove my signature/watermark from my art. I no longer give out unwatermarked images, please do not ask for it.
  4. I will send you a sketch of the work before I start lining/polishing, if I make any mistakes or you'd like me to change something, tell me. I will only make major edits to the lines at an extra free depending on the size of the edits. If it was a mistake on my part, don't worry, I will edit it without any additional charges!
  5. You may request that I send you more frequent WIPs. I usually don't send more than the final sketch unless I am unsure about something. For more frequent communication, please DM me on Discord.
  6. You may edit the artwork you receive to fit icons, headers, etc whatever kind of profile decoration you may want to use it for. I respectfully ask you to refrain from editing it any further, if if you need to I ask you always credit me as the original artist and state the artwork has been edited.
  7. You must always credit any one of my social medias when reposting my art to any platforms. You may repost the art anywhere but visible credit is required.
  8. As an extension to Rule 7, unless specified/discussed otherwise, only the client may use my art for whatever personal usage they want. If you are NOT the client, I ask that you do not use my art without both the client and I's permission to do so.
  9. When the work is complete I will DM it to you on Discord, and you may either post it to ToyHou.se with direct credit yourself or I can submit it to your character's gallery for you.

Payment

  1. All of my prices are listed and done in USD.
  2. Payment is 100% upfront and through Paypal or Ko-Fi. I do not start until I have received the payment.
  3. If I haven't started sketching, I can give a full refund upon request. Otherwise, I do not do refunds if I've started working on the order unless I feel like I cannot finish it for whatever reason.
  4. If I feel I cannot finish you order for whatever reason, I will give you a refund depending on how much progress I had made. Unfinished work will remain under my ownership, however I will give you whatever I have completed. Do not remove my signature & credit me still if this is the case.
  5. Each extra characters cost +75% of the original price unless stated otherwise.
  6. I may charge more depending on character complexity, this will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. (Detailed patterns/traits, high marking density, complex accessories, etc)

Design Specific

  1. Do NOT turn the design I make for you into a closed species. Let me know if you want to redesign them into an open species, I will probably say yes. I am not here to tell you what to do with a design you purchased, I would just like a heads up. this is the case, you MUST credit me for the original design of the species.
  2. Again, my works, including my designs, may only be used for personal purposes and cannot be used commercially or for profit.
  3. If a design has more than 1 version at any point in time (whether it came with the order or you give them one yourself), they must be gifted/traded/sold together regardless of how different they are. Do not give/trade/sell they separately regardless of differences.
  4. If you choose to resell the design, you're free to sell them for whatever price you see fit, I do not monitor the sales of my designs. Just please keep it reasonable and don't, for example, sell a custom you bought for $60, did nothing with it, then sell it for $200.
  5. You are free to modify/change the design you receive to your heart's content as long as I am credited for the original design.
  6. If you are on ToyHou.se, I will make the character for you and then send you a character transfer.
  7. I will not make a design based off an existing character that you do not own. While I'm fine designing a character based off/inspired by existing media, I will not directly copy any existing character's design.
    • I can design fan-characters (ex. I can design you a Pokemon or a character that belongs to a certain setting), but I will not design you a character that is just a furry version of an existing character you do not own.

  • Most animals (ask about birds, reptiles, amphibians and other similar species)
  • Anthros/Furries
  • Humans/Humanoids*
    *Posing may be limited as I am still not 100% confident with human/oid anatomy but I can certainly try!
  • Gore/Boddy Horror
  • Characters from existing media (I will draw for most fandoms, you can ask for a list of ones I won'tdraw for)
  • Moderately suggestive art

Won't Draw

  • NSFW/Sexually explicit art
  • Mecha/Robots
  • Detailed/realistic machinery/automobiles
  • Detailed/Fullbody suits of armor
  • Detailed weaponry
  • Fetish art
  • Anything that promotes hate speech/etc
  • Anything that makes me uncomfortable
